Are you tired of the same old frat party games? Beer pong, flip cup, and awkward small talk can only get you so far. It's time to level up your party game with the ultimate wingman: ChatGPT. This free chatbot is not only brainy but also has a killer sense of humor. In fact, it's so witty that you might even consider replacing your friend who always tells the same joke. In this 101 guide, we'll show you how to make ChatGPT the star of your frat party and impress your guests with brainy games, hilarious banter, and a party that will be the talk of the campus.

Of course, alcohol consumption at these parties is common, and excessive drinking can lead to dangerous and potentially life-threatening situations, such as alcohol poisoning, accidents, and sexual assault. We've already covered the wild and raucous games and activities in our previous post on "Funny Frat Theme Party 101: How to Plan, Prepare, and Host a Killer College Bash," here we focus on brainy games or activities that require some thinking and creativity in which ChatGPT can really add value. By mixing them in with the wild and raucous games and activities from before, you can create a well-rounded and engaging Frat Party that appeals to all types of guests.

How to set the scene

To set the stage, start by dividing your guests into two or three teams to compete against each other. These teams can then compete in a series of brainy games and activities that require some thinking and creativity, with ChatGPT serving as a helpful resource. With its brainpower and quick wit, you can turn your next gathering into a hilarious and competitive event!

Use the laptops with a reliable Internet connection and a large screen to display the contest progress so that everyone at the party can see the hilarious results. Imagine the fun and laughter that can be had by everyone at the party as they compete to see who can come up with the wittiest responses. It's a surefire way to keep everyone engaged and having a blast!

To ensure fair and impartial competition, assemble a panel of highly reputable judges who can make the tough calls and ultimately decide the winner.

Basic Tasks

First up are the Basic Tasks. These tasks teach participants how to interact with ChatGPT, the fundamentals of good prompting (provide the context, and give clear and detailed instructions), and how to achieve even better replies through experimentation. The competing teams can start with some fun and lighthearted activities to warm up before moving on to more challenging games.

The first task is a joke-cracking challenge. Each team takes turns coming up with their own jokes about a specific topic, or they can use ChatGPT to prompt them for some witty one-liners. This activity serves as a great icebreaker and can help lighten the mood of the party.

Next, the teams move on to poetry. Each team is tasked with writing a love poem in the style of Lord Byron. ChatGPT can provide ideas and inspiration to help teams come up with their own unique poems.

For the next task, participants are asked to imagine what might scare an AI agent and ask ChatGPT to write a story about it. This task requires critical thinking, creativity, and an understanding of the current state of AI technology.

Finally, it's time for the collaborative storytelling challenge. Teams work together to create a unique and engaging story, using ChatGPT to help generate ideas and prompts. Each team takes turns adding to the plot, resulting in a fun and creative story that everyone at the party can enjoy.

Intermediate Tasks

The Intermediate Tasks are designed to challenge the participants further and test their creativity. These tasks will require a higher level of expertise and problem-solving skills.

CV and Cover Letter Challenge: In this task, the teams will be challenged to write a convincing CV and cover letter for the position of prison guard. ChatGPT can be used to prompt the teams and provide guidance on what to write. The jurors can then evaluate the CVs and cover letters and determine whose is the most convincing. This challenge will not only test the teams' writing skills but also their ability to convince others.

Trivia Challenge: With the support of ChatGPT, this task will test the participants' knowledge of milestones in Machine Learning, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Image Processing, and Natural Language Processing. The teams will be given questions related to these fields, and they will have to answer them correctly to score points.

Discussion Challenge: In this challenge, the teams will have to discuss the dangers of the uncontrolled development of AI and why many people are afraid and feel nervous about it. They can use the stories generated in the previous step as inspiration. ChatGPT can be used to prompt the teams with questions or to provide additional information. This challenge will test the participants' ability to communicate effectively and think critically about complex topics.

Jeopardy Challenge: This challenge is similar to a trivia challenge but with a Jeopardy-style format with different categories and point values. ChatGPT can be used to generate questions and answers for different categories. The team that scores the most points at the end of the game wins.

Invent a New Game Challenge: In this challenge, teams will have to come up with new game ideas themselves or through prompting by ChatGPT. They will then present their ideas to a panel of judges for evaluation. This challenge will test the teams' creativity and innovation.

Code-Breaking Challenge: Teams can work together to decode messages in different formats, like Morse Code or cryptograms. ChatGPT can be used to provide hints and additional information to help the teams decode the messages. The team that decodes the most messages in the shortest amount of time wins.

Cards Against Humanity Challenge: In this popular card game, teams will have to fill in the blanks with the funniest response. ChatGPT can be used to generate the responses, making the game even more hilarious. The team with the funniest responses wins.

Puzzle Competition: Teams can compete to solve different problems, such as Sudoku or crossword puzzles. ChatGPT can be used to give clues and instructions on how to solve those problems. The team with the most problems solved in the shortest amount of time wins.
Brain Teaser Challenge: Teams will solve a range of brain teasers, such as logic puzzles or riddles, in this challenge. ChatGPT can be used to provide tips and additional information to teams to assist them in solving brain teasers. The team that properly solves the most brain teasers wins.

Advanced Tasks

Advanced tasks are the next level of challenge that you can take on with the help of ChatGPT. What's exciting about these tasks is that ChatGPT can play two roles at the same time! Here's how it works: on your laptop, you can open two windows in a browser. In each window, you have a separate chat with the language model. ChatGPT in window 1 acts as an Examiner and asks you questions, while ChatGPT in window 2, an Instructor, answers all your questions - which you can often copy and paste from window 1, especially if you have no idea about the answer. This method allows you to make ChatGPT in one window play against another ChatGPT!

With this promising approach, you can take on new challenges and learn new skills. For example, you can try building a website about a Frat Party. The Examiner will ask you how you plan to write the code behind a simple website. Your Instructor, ChatGPT in another window, will guide you through the process of learning HTML, CSS, and other web development skills, with examples and clear explanations. You'll then apply what you've learned by returning to the Examiner with your freshly acquired knowledge and getting the next question. This process will continue until you've successfully built your website.

Another ChatGPT task is to create a chatbot that can reply to user input and carry on a discussion. The Examiner will give you suggestions and questions to help you improve your chatbot's capabilities, while your Instructor will take you through the process of developing and testing your chatbot from another window in ChatGPT. You will be able to construct a functional and responsive chatbot with the help of ChatGPT!

You can even use ChatGPT to learn a new language or improve your language skills. The examiner will provide you with a text in a foreign language, and your task will be to translate it into your native language. Using ChatGPT's language capabilities, you can ask for translations of individual words and phrases, and even get help with grammar and sentence structure. Your instructor, using another window with ChatGPT, will guide you through the process of translating the text and improving your language skills.

If you're up for even more of a challenge, you can try building a Neural Network! Your Instructor can explain the different types of neural networks and their applications, while the Examiner can ask questions to test your understanding. Cybersecurity teams can also compete in a cybersecurity challenge by identifying and fixing vulnerabilities in a simulated system or defending against a simulated cyberattack – with the help of ChatGPT, of course.

And finally, for the most difficult task, you can try to get another person to perform a simple activity, such as taking a selfie with their phone and sending it to a buddy using any messenger app installed on their phone. The only restriction is that no words are allowed! Just a whistle! Nobody, not the trainer (for instructions and remarks) nor the general audience (for comments), is allowed to use any phrases at all. A violation is immediately and severely punished! How can this be accomplished? It's as if a circus lion is being trained. Investigate this challenge with your old pals, the ChatGPT-Instructor and ChatGPT-Examiner!

Finally, the judges announce the results, and the winners receive their well-deserved prizes. All other participants get a medal for completing a crash course on prompt engineering, which they can proudly show off to their friends and family. The public, having witnessed the impressive feats of human-machine collaboration, returns to their usual wild and boisterous games, but not before raising a glass to the winners and shouting, "ChatGPT for the win!"
